Duck with Eggs Figurine Ceramic Planter
This is a cute and vintage decoration just in time for Easter. It's a duck wearing a green kerchief. Part of the kerchief flows back and becomes a little handle. The duck sits between two eggs that you can actually put stuff in. I have displayed it with some green Easter basket grass popping out. I don't know anything specific about it, but on the bottom it says that is was made in Japan. Toothpick-holder by design, but who says it can't be used for holding eggs? I love these little animal wagons: so whimsical & odd. A rabbit pulling a wagon is the height of fantasy. Hard boiled or soft boiled, eggs will never taste as good as when they are presented in a fun eggcup. Add a few toast soldiers and any young or young-at-heart person will be satisfied. This little fellow is white, pale blue & green with pink on the wagon. It is in perfect condition, except for the sticky-ape stain on the raw china base. Don't be limited by its egginess though. It will hold Easter eggs of course, but is useful as a quaint jewellery dish, a tiny vase, a delightful way to present homemade jam as a gift, butter dish, salt bowl. Let your imagination loose to find the job that suits it best. Measures: 5 inches -13 cms long x 3 inches-7.5 tall x 2 inches - 5 cms at its widest.
